What does a real tire shop's map grid look like before and after?
Martinez Tire & Auto Center runs three San Antonio shops. For the shop on O’Connor Road, we scanned tire shop near me at 81 points over 2 miles on three dates. On Oct 9 it was in the top 3 at 1 spot. During our free 7 day Maps ranking trial, on Oct 22, it reached 52 of 81. Four days after the trial ended, on Oct 26, it was in the top 3 at 27. For wheel alignment service near me the three readings were 1, 57 and 25 of 81.
Those are the honest numbers, including the drop after the trial stopped. Map Pack ranking is a month to month service, not a switch you flip once, and we never say a ranking holds after the work stops. What the grid proves is the part you can check: the ranking moves, it moves across the whole neighborhood and not just at the shop’s own door, and it is measured the same way every time. The full grids, toggle and all, are on our free scan page.
How do drivers in San Antonio find an auto shop?
Usually with a problem and a phone. A warning light on 1604, a flat in a Walmart lot off Culebra, a brake squeal that finally got loud. The search is tire shop near me, auto repair near me, oil change, wheel alignment, or the name of the one shop they already know. Google answers with three pins, and the driver calls or taps directions from the map far more often than they visit a website. Proximity matters more in this trade than in most, because nobody drives a bad car across town.
That is why a single ranking number means nothing for a shop. Martinez ranks differently on O’Connor Road than it does two miles east, and differently again for tires than for alignments. The grid shows the real shape: where the shop owns the search, where a chain store takes it, and where the next independent shop does. Those edges are where the work goes.
What does Rigal Media do for an auto repair or tire shop?
We start with the profile, because for a shop the profile is the storefront. The primary category has to match the money search (Tire shop or Auto repair shop, not both guessed), the categories under it have to cover what you really do (wheel alignment, brakes, oil change), the hours have to be right on Saturdays, and the photos have to show your bays, not a stock image. Then the website: one page per service, each named exactly as the profile names it, with your name, address and phone written identically on both.
Martinez had a site that existed at an old address. We rebuilt it at mtztire.com, with a page for the O’Connor Road shop, a page for wheel alignment, and schema on every page that repeats the profile’s facts. You can flip between the old site and the rebuild on our homepage. After the trial we post to the profile two or three times a week, each post pointing at the page for that service, and we rescan the same grid weekly so the next reading is never a guess.
Does a shop with three locations need three of everything?
Yes, and it is the thing most multi location shops get wrong. Each location needs its own Google Business Profile with its own address, phone and hours, and its own page on the site that says the same. One profile with three addresses in the description, or one website page for all three shops, leaves Google unable to tell which pin belongs to which search. Martinez’s three San Antonio shops each get their own treatment, and each gets its own grid.
What happens after the free scan?
You see your own grid for tire shop near me or auto repair near me at 81 points around your shop. If your profile qualifies (a verified address, at least 10 reviews at 3.5 or better, a linked website), you can try Google Maps ranking free for 7 days and compare day seven to day one, the same way Martinez did. If the website is the weak link, we quote the build from the published ranges. Nothing starts until you have seen your numbers.
Verified results, not projections.
Map grid scans, 81 points over 2 miles, Oct 9, Oct 22 and Oct 26, 2026. The Oct 26 scan used a different tool, so single points can differ slightly. Your shop's numbers come from your own free scan.
Questions San Antonio businesses ask us
Your questions, answered.
Google Maps ranking is from $497 a month after the free 7 day trial, month to month, no contract. A website runs $499 to $1,499 for 1 to 5 pages and $1,499 to $4,999 for 6 to 10 pages, with SEO, AI visibility and GBP Alignment included. The scan that shows your grid is free.
Not at the peak. Tire shop near me went from 1 of 81 spots in the top 3 before the trial to 52 during it, and read 27 four days after it ended. Map Pack ranking is a month to month service, and we show the drop because you deserve the real number, not the flattering one.
The free scan tells you. If your site already says what your profile says, with a page per service and the right facts, the Maps trial alone can show movement. If the site is old, missing or on a slow builder, the website is the first fix, and we quote it from the published ranges.
Yes. The shop gets its own profile and page; the mobile service gets its own page and a service area setting on the profile that matches where you really drive. The two never share one address or one page.
Yes. Posting to your Google Business Profile is part of our work, because it helps you rank. We don't sell social media management.
